Nov2023 Dividend/Interest received from my investment and retirement account is about SGD $10868 and YTD investment income received is $113K. This is the 6th monthly investment income received hitting 5 figures for 2023. The higher than expected dividend received in November was due to KIT special dividend of >3K as this is one of my larger holding in SGX . Dividend and interest income were collected from more than 25 over counters and ETFs in November. Investment Portfolio YTD gain including dividend rebound strongly to 7.94%. This is the best monthly performance in 2023 as inflation has fallen sharply and boosted the overall stock markets.
Trade in Nov.
I have continue to buy more bond ETF to lock in the current interest rate as bond price rose sharply in November due to market anticipation that interest rate has peaked. I bought a term bond etf IBDW which mature 2031 with has a YTM closed to 6 %. Another bond etf is VDCP.L with an average investment grade of A-. I have also bought a new HKSE dividend ETF 3110.etf with has an average 9% yield due to HKSE crashing. . I also added another 20k of SSB when its interest rate hit 3.4%.I have invest heavily in bonds in November because I preferred to have more certainty in investment income received in coming year. If interest rate remain elevated in 2024, I am worry that most of the Reits I am holding will be cutting dividend as their refinancing cost soar.
