In May, My US investment portfolio generated a total dividend and bond interest USD$1985.7.
My Spore investment portfolio generated a dividend of SGD $1936
Total dividend and interest from my investment portfolio + bank/money market account generated SGD 5415.
In May, I have added my stake in new preferred stock 200 shares of BPYPP (6.5% yield) ,300 shares of UK ADR IMBBY ( yield >7.5%) . IMBBY has proven to a fallen knife as my stake has fallen by 20% due to negative regulatory headwind for tobacco industry. My final stake in IMBBY is 405 shares with about 8% yield. It is a small stake that is less than 1% of my portfolio .I still believe the global tobacco industry is undervalued. I will continue to hold for the dividend.
As for local SGX market, I sold off APAC realty and Dasin Trust as I don't like both of their financial report of lower revenue and profit just after IPO less than 2 years. I will try to avoid a newly listed company which cannot fulfill its prospectus forecast. I exit APAC with a slight loss after accounting for dividend payoff and a gain of $1057 from Dasin Trust sold off.
With the spare cash, I bought 10K of Cromwell and 30K of Sing Reinsurance.
With the May rebalance of my portfolio, my projected annual yield from my investment portfolio will drop slightly below USD48K .

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI chance upon your blog. I'm also a passive dividend income investor. I invest mostly in singapore blue chips,Reit & SSB. My dividend income is not as big as yours. Would you mind sharing with me how you pick your dividend stocks/Reits for your singapore portfolio? What criteria do you use? Do you hold the stocks/Reits in your portfolio long term or do you rotate them, why?
Hope to learn from you.
Hi minx, I am not an expert in Spore reit as I only started investing in them 3-4 years ago. The more established Spore reits are already quite fully valued then. I bought most of SG reit based on recommendation by https://portal.iocbc.com/assets/pdf/ospl/OIR_Weekly_S-REITs_Tracker.PDF or write up by local finance bloggers. At this point of time, I am not adding much reits.
